--Machine-Readable Bibliographic Information Committee,
the body responsible for developing official ALA positions on standards
for the representation in machine-readable form of bibliographic
information. MARBI focuses its attention on the development of the
MARC format. This committee is an advisory committee to the Library
of Congress.
ALA
Subject Analysis Committee (SAC)
--the ALCTS committee responsible for studying
problems and recommending improvements in patterns, methods, and
tools for the subject analysis and organization of library materials,
including particularly classification and subject headings systems

Electronic Resources: OCLC-MARC Coding Guidelines --incorporates changes prompted by the 2001 revision of AACR2 Chapter 9, "Electronic Resources;" the 2002 revision of AACR2 to take into account integrating resources; and the MARC 21 changes implemented on December 1, 2002.
