Contract Cataloging & Searching

HCL Technical Services is currently engaged in a number of contract cataloging projects with OCLC Contract Cataloging (formerly TechPro). These projects target specific languages of uncataloged materials: Catalan, English, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Another company offering similar services, Marcnow Innovative Solutions, is being used for new receipts in German, and may be considered for future contracts.

In the recent past, the automated searching service, Marcadia, has been utilized to identify matching copy for uncataloged or In-Process items in the Cataloging Stacks of HCL Technical Services.
