The following collections of web sites are useful starting points for research in literature and other subjects.
Iberian Studies in SALALM (ISIS)
A portal of resources related to the Iberian peninsula in support of education and research.
Latin American Network Information Center (LANIC)
LANIC is a searchable directory of internet resources. This portal leads to a wealth of resources on the Caribbean, Central and South America and Mexico via numerous links arranged by subject. In addition, other links to research projects are included. The Humanities>>Languages link presents resources related to individual languages and language groups; the Humanitites>>Literature link leads to resources arranged by country (including individual author sites, association and literary genre sites) and international, regional resources, journals and magazines. Of note are the Etext Collection, containing full-text resources (research and conference papers, speeches, periodical publications, official documents, etc. and the Latin American Studies resource section.
The World Wide Web Virtual Library: Spanish History Index
A portal of internet resources on the history of Spain (all periods) in Spanish, English and other languages. Large number of resources in the Medieval, Modern and Contemporary periods section, including links under the headings: Columbus & the Spanish discoveries, Charles V & Philip II, XVII century and XVIII century.
Internet Resources for Latin America
Housed at New Mexico State University Library, the site has links to a wide variety of guides, directories, subscription and public domain databases, digital library products, etc. and hosts a real-time news feed on the main page.
Latin Americanist Research Resources Project
Sponsored by the Association of Research Libraries (ARL), this resource includes LAPTOC: Latin American Periodicals Tables of Contents, a searchable database of tables of contents for over 800 Latin American humanities and social sciences journals.
Electronic Texts
The site is an interactive version of the Celestina with concordance capabilities, created by Miguel Garci-Gomez, Department of Romance Studies, Duke University.
Proyecto Cervantes/Cervantes Project
Directed by Dr. Eduardo Urbino of Texas A & M University, the site provides links to the Cervantes International Bibliography Online (CIBO), 1994-1998; the Cervanted Digital Library (CDL) for online searchable and browsable editions of works and translations; and the Cervantes Digital Archive of Images (CDAI).
English translations of Golden Age sonnets by Alix Ingber, Professor of Spanish at Sweet Briar. Author and first line listings, links to critical works, web sites on poetry, prose and mythology.

Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz Project
Sponsored by the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Dartmouth College, the site offers an electronic edition of Sor Juana's works, a chronology of her life, listing of scholars, criticism and a recent bibliography, 1995-1997.
