1. Introduction
This guide is designed to present Spanish and Latin American junior tutorial students and senior thesis writers with strategies and sources as they pursue their research. While it emphasizes Harvard's resources, both print and electronic, some scholarly internet resources are included. It is hoped that this foundational guide will provide a basis for further exploration of our rich and varied research landscape. Good luck!
Harvard Libraries
Most of the resources described in this guide are housed in our electronic resource portal, Harvard Libraries. This site is the port of entry to three types of resources: Harvard’s and other library catalogs, electronic resources of all kinds and home pages and information about Harvard’s libraries.
HOLLIS Catalog
The University Library’s HOLLIS catalog contains records for books, print and electronic journals, sound recordings, manuscripts, visual materials, maps, government documents, electronic resources, etc. held by Harvard's libraries.
E-research
Electronic resources available via the portal include dictionaries, encyclopedias, directories, electronic journals and texts, indexes to journal articles, newsmedia, etc. Resources may be searched by keyword, by subject and by type of resource.
Libraries
This section of the portal provides links to library home pages and information on library collections, hours, locations, policies, events and exhibitions.
