Threading the Maze: A Guide to the Harvard Libraries for Students

3. Finding research assistance and advice

In addition to the advice offered in this Guide, research assistance is offered in a variety of ways. Reference librarians in the Harvard College Library are happy to help you, whether you would like an introduction to the HOLLIS Catalog or if you have a question related to a specific assignment. There are a variety of ways to find a librarian who can guide you through our maze of library resources.

In person

You may contact a reference librarian in a particular subject area directly to request a research consultation to identify and to use printed and online resources relevant to your assignment. Please consult our Research Contacts page to determine whom to contact.
