3. Finding research assistance and advice
In addition to the advice offered in this Guide, research assistance is offered in a variety of ways. Reference librarians in the Harvard College Library are happy to help you, whether you would like an introduction to the HOLLIS Catalog or if you have a question related to a specific assignment. There are a variety of ways to find a librarian who can guide you through our maze of library resources.
In person
You may contact a reference librarian in a particular subject area directly
to request a research consultation to identify and to use printed and
online resources relevant to your assignment. Please consult our Research
Contacts page to determine whom to contact.
Online
Submit your questions about the libraries or about your research online any time by using our Ask a Librarian form.
See Directions for the locations of each of the HCL libraries.
