The following resources provide international economics data.
China
Data Online
Provides statistical information from the National Bureau of Statistics
of the People's Republic of China in English. Coverage includes China
Yearly Macro-economy Statistics (1949-), China Monthly Macro-economy Statistics
(1998-), Monthly Reports on Economy Development (2002-), China City Statistics
(1996-), China County Statistics (1997-), China Industrial Data (2001-),
and various statistical yearbooks (2002-), as well as provincial and county-level
data from the 2000 census.

Political, financial and economic risk data with over 75 variables for
140 countries. ICRG risk ratings are also included. Data are available
from 1984-present.
EIU City Data (Economist Intelligence Unit)
City Data contains pricing information on more than 160 products and services in 140 cities worldwide. You can check everything from the cost of a loaf of bread in Adelaide to the average electricity bill of a local family in Zurich. Or from the cost of office rents in New Delhi to median salary levels in New York. Price information is collected twice a year and annual historical data is available from 1990.
EIU
Country Data (Economist Intelligence Unit)
A source of economic indicators and forecasts providing data series on
economic structure, foreign payments, exchange rates, external debt stock,
external debt service, external trade, trends in foreign trade and quarterly
indicators. Other EIU databases available at Harvard include Country Reports,
Country Commerce, Country Finance and Country Forecasts.
Eurostat
Eurostat is the statistical office of the European Communities. Its website
provides information on economy and finance, population and social conditions,
industries, external trade, transportation and more. Some data is available
at the regional level.
FAOSTAT (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations)
On-line and multilingual (English, French, Spanish) database containing
over 1 million time-series records covering international statistics in
the areas of Production, Trade, Food Balance Sheets, Food Aid Shipments,
Fertilizers and Pesticides, Land Use and Irrigation, Forest Products,
Fishery Products, Population, Agricultural Machinery and Agricultural
Production. Chronological coverage extends from 1961 to the present and
offers some projections.
Global
Development Finance (World Bank)
Formerly World Debt Tables. Contains 218 time-series indicators (country
and summary tables), for the years 1970 through 2005; data on total external
debt stocks and flows, aggregates, key debt ratios, etc.

Financial Data (Global Financial Data)
Spreadsheet data on stock markets from 1690, exchange rates from 1590,
interest rates from 1700, commodities from 1500, inflation from 1264,
and more.
Global
Market Information Database (Euromonitor)
Statisitics on countries (over 200), markets, consumer lifestyles and
companies. The user is able to choose between four formats: statsitics,
market reports, companies and shares or sources. A User Guide provides
search tips and instructions on how to use the database. Some are exportable
to spreadsheet format.
IEA Energy Databases (International Energy Agency)
The IEA (International Energy Agency) Energy resource is a collection of 10 energy-related databases. These databases contain data on imports, exports, consumption, production and pricing data within the energy, electricity, coal, oil and natural gas industries for countries around the world. Most data is available from 1980-most recent, but coverage may vary.

Financial Statistics Online (International Monetary Fund)
This database contains time series data from 1948. It provides international
statistics on international and domestic finance. Reports are made on
most countries of the world detailing exchange rates, international liquidity,
interest rates, money and banking, prices, inflation, deflation, government
accounts, national accounts, and international transactions.
ISI
Emerging Markets (Internet Securities, Inc.)
Provides current country and company information from more than 500 sources for emerging markets in Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe. Includes: country profiles, macroecomonic statistics, forecasts and analysis; reports on financial markets, companies and industries; exchange rates; analyst reports; and business news. Updated daily.

Indicators of the Labour Market (International Labour Organisation)
A collection of information from several major international statistical sources which contains information relevant to labour force participation, employment, unemployment, educational attainment, wages and compensation cost, productivity and labour cost, as well as poverty and income distribution. This is now also available online for downloading.
Laborsta (International Labour Organisation)
Information for over 200 countries on employment, unemployment, hours
of work, wages, consumer price indices and more. There is information
on certain variables from 1969-2007 and employment projections through
2020.
Lexis-Nexis
Statistical (formerly Statistical Universe) (Lexis-Nexis)
Bibliographic database which indexes and abstracts the statistical content
of selected United States government publications (ASI, 1973--), state
government publications, business and association publications (SRI, 1980-),
and international inter-governmental sources (IIS). Abstracts include
a publication's statistical content, primary bibliographic information,
and hypertext links where the publications may be viewed, downloaded,
and accessed. Some full-text is available electronically (GIF, PDF, CSV,
Excel). All publications are available in microfiche in Research Services in Lamont,
Level B.

OECD
SourceOECD provides online access to the many publications put out by
the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Publications
and databases include country studies, forecasting publications, reports,
periodicals, and socio-economic databases. Topics covered include agriculture,
developing economies, education, employment, energy, environment, migration,
social issues, and sustainable development. The Measuring Globalisation
database contains data indicative of the industrial activity of multinational
firms under foreign control in the OECD countries. It focuses particularly
on the areas of production, employment, international trade and research
from 1983 to 1997. The STAN R & D Expenditure in Industry Database
provides expenditure data for 19 OECD countries plus the zone total for
the European Union from 1973 onward.

UN Data Access System/United Nations
The United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD) of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) has a new internet based data service for the global user community. It brings UN statistical databases within easy reach of users through a single entry point. Topics included are agriculture, education, employment, energy, environment, industry, national accounts, population, trade and tourism.
World
Development Indicators (World Bank)
WDI (World Development Indicators) Online contains statistical data from
the World Bank for almost 600 development indicators and time series data
from 1960 for over 200 countries and 18 country groups. Data includes
social, economic, financial, natural resources, and environmental indicators.
Results can be scaled, indexed against a particular year, viewed by percentage
change, and charted. Data can be exported in Excel.
