7. Linking to Audio/Visual Materials
Harvard libraries offer a number of online image and audio catalogs and databases that allow researchers to locate and sometimes make direct links to multimedia files. The following HCL research guides can assist in locating digital collections for art and music:

Linking to sound recordings
Linking to individual audio files in some of our major music databases
(such as Classical
Music Library, Naxos
Music Library, Smithsonian
Global Sound) is usually a three step-process:
First, locate the digital recording in the database that you would like to link to. Next, click on the "Show Static URL" button to make persistent links appear on the screen for each audio file. Some resources, like the Classical Music Library, require the user to click on an information icon in order to view the static URL (see below). Finally, copy and paste the URL where needed.

Linking to images
Since most image linking is done through course iSite
tools, faculty and TFs are encouraged to contact the Instructional
Computing Group directly for assistance with using the Image
Tool, Slide Carousel, etc.
