Finding Contemporary Reviews
- LexisNexis Academic (Harvard users)
- Full text articles from thousands of new sources (1980s-present) such as wire services, Time, Newsweek, New York Times, Boston Globe, Washington Post (all major newspapers). Select the News tab (default); in the "Select Sources" menu, choose "Book, Movie, Music, Play and Video Reviews"; change date default (set for previous 3 months).
- Academic Search Premier (Harvard users)
- Also indexes major newspapers such as New York Times (links to full text). Click on "Publications" link to see coverage dates for each title.
- International Index to Music Periodicals (Harvard users, 1874-present)
- Click "Select from a list" next to Document Type search box, select options "Performance Reviews (more options: Favorable, Mixed, Unfavorable)".
