Conservators from the Weissman Preservation Center and HCL Conservation Services will host a Preservation Clinic for all Harvard students, faculty and staff this Thursday at Lamont Library.

April 11, 2011 – Do you have a treasured book, drawing, photograph or other item that you would like to preserve or repair? If so, bring it to Lamont Library this Thursday for a Preservation Clinic with Harvard conservators, who will review the condition of the item and explain what can be done to preserve it.

The clinic is being conducted by the Weissman Preservation Center and HCL Conservation Services and is open to Harvard students, faculty and staff, and will run from 2 to 4 p.m. in the lobby of Lamont.

The event is organized in observance of Preservation Week, a national event designed to highlight the importance of our personal and shared memories and to encourage preservation of objects that embody those memories.

For more information, contact Jane Hedberg, senior preservation program officer in the Weissman Preservation Center, at 617-495-8596 or e-mail.
