Houghton Offers New Greeting Cards in Time for Holidays

New Card: Detail from Johann Georg von Schwandner's Dissertatio epistolaris de calligraphiae nominclatione.
December 15, 2003 - A crimson letter H (which could indicate Harvard or Holiday ... or both) from Johann Georg von Schwandner's Dissertatio epistolaris de calligraphiae nominclatione and a detail of a marbled paper by Douglas Cockerell grace the covers of Houghton Library’s two new greeting cards available in time for the Holidays. Holiday cards from past years are also available, such as the popular watercolor Harvard Yard in Snow by Chiang Yee and the photograph Snow Scene on the Northeast Corner of the Boston Common,1850’s. All are blank on the inside.
