Houghton Library MSS Widener
The Harry Elkins Widener Collection consists of the original library belonging to Harry Elkins Widener (1885-1912), Class of 1907, at the time of his death on the Titanic, as well as a few notable items added by his family after that date. The entire collection was given to Harvard by his mother, Mrs. Eleanor Widener Rice. It includes approximately 3,300 volumes and is housed in the Memorial Room in Widener Library. There are two medieval manuscripts in the Widener Collection.
