James H. Marrow. “Unpublished leaves from the Missal of Johannes von Giltlingen,” Harvard Library Bulletin 21.2 (Piecing Together the Picture: Fragments of German and Netherlandish Manuscripts in Houghton Library edited by Jeffrey F. Hamburger) (2010), 125-141.  MS cited throughout. HOLLIS
Marrow identifies this leaf as coming from a missal made for Johannes von Giltlingen, abbot of the imperial monastery of Saints Ulrich and Afra in Augsburg from 1482 to 1496 and decorated by Conrad Wagner. This leaf contains the beginning of the Mass for St. Ulrich, one of the two patron saints of the monastery.  Marrow includes a list of the other 17 leaves from the missal which are known to have survived and the 5 leaves which he speculates must once have also been richly decorated and illustrated.
