MS was lot no. 1431 in the Todd sale and Phillipps MS 23041. “On 15 November 1869 John Fleming Jones of 8 d’Olier Street, Dublin, auctioned the library of James Henthorn Todd (1805-69), Regius Professor of Hebrew and librarian of Trinity College, Dublin. Todd, who had corresponded with Phillipps, had been his competitor in the 1830’s for early manuscripts from Continental religious houses, especially from St. Martin’s at Tournai, and the Baronet set out to secure these, as well as a number of items of Irish interest. His commissions were executed by Hodges, Foster and Co. of 104 Grafton Street, Dublin, who secured from him seventy-one lots at a cost of £584. 13s. 6d (Nos. 23016-23072).”
