  • Excellence in Service Award Winners Recognized
  • Fung Library will be closed from noon on December 24 – January 3 for the holidays. The library will be open for regular business hours from January 4 - 24, with the exception of Monday, January 18, when it will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King Day. Harvard Depository deliveries will be made January 4-24 during regular business hours when the libraries are open.
  • Changes to Fung Library Course Reserves
Beginning in fall 2009, course reserves formerly available at Fung Library will now be available at Lamont Library.

The process for reserves submissions will remain the same. Teaching and faculty assistants will continue to submit reserves requests via the Course Reserves Tool, but they will submit their request to Lamont Library instead of Fung Library.   Paul Hanna, who will continue to be the contact for graduate level course reserves, is now working in  Lamont Library Access Services and can be reached via email, or via telephone at 5-2979. For additional information about submitting reserves requests, please see Course Reserves Service for Faculty and Instructors.

We hope this change will be helpful to students as they can take advantage of Lamont's more accessible semester schedule of 24/5 hours Sunday through Thursday.
  • Changes Coming to Fung Library Circulation Services
Beginning this month, circulation services in Fung Library will change. With these changes, the Fung Library librarians and staff will be able to concentrate their efforts on building the collections and providing broad support for teaching and research.

As of July 7, Fung Library will no longer be a delivery point for Harvard Depository (HD) materials owned by other libraries.  Fung Library will continue to be a delivery point for HD materials it owns. Users will request Fung Library materials from HD by contacting the Fung Library staff directly.  For contact information, please consult the Fung Library Staff Directory.

As of July 14, all collections in the Fung Library will be available for in-library use only and will not circulate.
