Sanjay H. and Leslie D. Patel Library Leaders Fund for South Asia
The gift of Sanjay H. Patel A.B. 1983, S.M. 1983 and Leslie D. Patel, to endow a Library Leaders Fund in the Harvard College Library. The income only is to be used for the acquisitions, preservation and access of the South Asian collections. The study of South Asia is becoming an increasingly important area of academic inquiry at Harvard, and an increasingly important area of collecting in the College Library. Through the Patel Fund, the Harvard College Library will be able to strengthen its collections of South Asian materials, particularly those relating to modern India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, to support teaching and research by undergraduates and scholars.
