Permelia E. Cheney Hersey Memorial

The gift of Frank W.C. Hersey, Class of 1899, in memory of his mother, the income to be used for the purchase of recent books in British and American Literature. The term 'recent' as here used means books published during the twenty-five years preceding their purchase, this phrase to be interpreted progressively year after year. By this method a number of recent and contemporary books may always be obtained.
