Harvard College Library Funds
The Marcus Lee Hansen Memorial Fund
In 1924, a Pulitzer Prize was posthumously awarded to Marcus Lee Hansen Ph.D. 1924 for his book, The Atlantic Migration. The brothers and sisters of Marcus Lee Hansen established a fund in his memory, the income thereof to be applied toward the purchase of manuscripts and printed material, giving preference to primary sources, concerning the history of American immigration, exclusive of that of Negroes and Orientals. It is our desire that the proceeds of the fund be made available to the Harvard College Library.
