Paul Harding's Pulitzer Prize for his novel, Tinkers, reminds us of the important role that journals play in our literary culture. Way back in 2002, Harvard Review published Paul's very first story, “Walter, Charmed” (HR22). We are proud to have contributed to his success, and we can't wait to pull the next award-winning writer from the slush pile. You can also read Paul’s story, “Miss Hale,” from HR 33 (2007), for a taste of his forthcoming novel.
In this issue of Harvard Review Online, the new online companion to Harvard Review, you'll find more new poetry and book reviews. If you would like to see the previous issue, visit the online archives page, and don't forget to renew your subscription to the print edition in time to receive HR 38!
