Student Experience Groups
Harvard College Library Student Interest Group (SIG)
In response to Undergraduate Council input on library hours, spaces and security, Head of Services for Academic Programs Laura Farwell Blake formed the Library Student Interest Group. The Group meets bi-monthly to focus on student interests and ideas that help shape the patron experience at HCL and FAS Libraries.
The group continues to grow and doubled its undergraduate members in its first year. Their feedback led to the opening of an additional exit lane in Lamont Library and it will be incorporated into planning for the upcoming renovation of the Cabot Science Library.
Harvard Library Council on Student Experience (HLCSE)
The HLCSE, a University-wide group of students and librarians, was formed in January 2013 to identify and collaborate on ways to improve the student library experience, including through the Tell Us feedback service tool and Library mobile module.
